This is my mom, Lucy, and my nephew, McClain. Cute picture, right? Well, this morning i got to thinking about family. And friends. And getting back to basics of the important things in my life. I had a not-so-great day yesterday and so this morning i am thankful for a fresh start. Yesterday no longer matters. Not really, anyways. The old has gone and the new has come....Today is another chance to love better. To give more freely. To embrace the gifts around me. Today i'm thankful for my beautiful mom and her constant love and support. I'm thankful for my sister and ofcourse thankful for the chance to be "Aunt Tutu" to two sweet little ones. I'm thankful to have friends that are pretty close to family. The older i've gotten, the more i've realized that we get to choose our families. Not the families we are born into, but choose who gets to be in our "inner circles." I want to treasure that inner circle. It's what's important.
