I keep coming back to this notion of emptiness. It is in our emptiness that we begin to scratch the surface of His grace. It is in our emptiness that we turn to God and ask Him to fill us up again. It is through our suffering that we have a chance to experience grace. Real grace that could only come from the Father.
Suffering is a part of life. Grief is a part of life. (sigh.) But instead of cursing the suffering, cursing the grief, cursing the pain, cursing the waiting (as i've often done)....we can begin to see these times as an opportunity to draw closer to the God of the universe. Because He always comes through. He always has our best interest in mind. Take what i've been going through for an example. I've been in this stage of grief for a while. But He wanted to take it away and heal it--and He did. (Read below :) ) I've been in a stage of not knowing what comes next. But He's showing me. Only because He is, in fact, faithful.
He desires to take our empty and fill it up.
"From the fullness of His grace, we have received one blessing after another" (John 1:16).
*I have a job interview tomorrow. If you would be so kind as to pray for me at 11:45AM Friday, i would be so grateful. SO incredibly grateful. *
