1. Be an early riser. I'm going to try to get up a little earlier each day to dig into God's word. He's how i want to start my day. It will also allow me more time to spend playing with my pup, Sophie.
2. Smile More. i used to have a professor that called me "smiley." Maybe it's because he couldn't remember my name, but i think it's mostly because i smiled all the time. But i want to smile even when i don't feel like it. Not to be fake but because when we smile on the outside, our brain starts to think we are happy. True story. Look it up.
3. Be mindful. i want to be in each moment. I want to be fully present. When i'm at work i want to be at work. When i'm with friends or family i want to be fully there. When i'm eating i want to be in those moments as well. Being mindful means not looking ahead to the future or looking in the past. It simply means being where you are.
4. Work less: Prioritize my to-do list and do just a few important tasks for the day.
5. Self-esteem: I want to learn to appreciate and love myself for who i am. Accept my strengths and weaknesses. Be happy with me every day.
6. Pray. I'm going to start memorizing verses. I'm also going to attempt to write some of prayers right here on this blog. yikes!
7. Go slow. This goes along with being more mindful. i find that i'm often in a hurry. maybe i'll start with actually going the speed limit. :)
8. Exercise: Do more yoga. Yoga is not my religion, but there is definitely something to it. All i know is that it helps me to be more at peace. It relaxes my mind while stretching my body to its limits.
9. Make time. For family. For friends. For Sophie. For doing things that fill my soul.
10. Learn something new: Be curious, be inquisitive and behave like a child and learn something new every day to enrich my life.
11. Don’t hold grudges: i don't want to harm ME by holding grudges anymore. i want to learn to let the past go.
12. Positive thinking: One way to live with less regrets is to fill my mind with positive thoughts--even when i don'f feel like it. Let go of the negative.
13. Keep my promises. Every day i want to work at delivering what i have committed to--whether in my personal life or at work.
14. self care. i want to get more massages. they always help. :)

15. be honest. That's what this whole blog thing is about. Being honest. I'm going to talk abou twhat's going on in my mind. i'm going to talk about what God's teaching me.
Life is a journey. I'm going to
make the journey a joyful and interesting one by living each day fully.
Hello there,
ReplyDeleteVery good morning... I just happen to read your blog.... very interesting and practical...but for one thing regarding exercise.. you have opted yoga... I don't want to get into your personal things, but to share my view, strong view... that, Yoga is not at all a type of exercise, as you had mentioned, but its a method of worship. I don't want to comment beyond this, but would suggest you to ponder over it, for we have 100s of alternatives when it comes to exercise, including serenity. Thanks for having allowed me to post my comment. Should you feel uncomfortable for this comment, please bear with me and my apologies.
