Glimpses from My Kitchen

Perhaps in an attempt to eat out less and get more creative in the kitchen, i've found myself cooking more.  I don't pretend to be Julia Child, but this girl can follow a recipe.

I started wondering if this was normal.  Do women approaching their 30s just start to crave things of the domestic flair? I'm not sure, but i'm going to go with it.

Chicken Parmesan Meatballs. Complete with lemon zest and parsley.

Peppers stuffed with ground turkey, tomatoes, basil, and feta

Garlic parmesan chicken tenders

Roasted veggies with fresh rosemary

Spinach and tomato frittata

Happy Thursday, y'all.

  1. I'm not sure it's just a female thing. My grocery budget is 3.5 times my restaurant budget each month. Eating healthier, avoiding crowds and enjoying the quiet reflection available to us while cooking is a part of growing up no matter your gender, at least in my experience.

    1. Charlie, you're exactly right. I didn't think of it that way--avoiding crowds and the ability to enjoy a time of reflection. Something truly nurturing about it. Thanks for your comment.
